Antique Malayer Area Rug

We love that antique rugs are meant for use- they make great hallway and kitchen pieces and can stand up to even the heaviest foot traffic or spill. This antique beauty was woven in the villages of the Malayer region in the early 1900's and was likely created by a family or several families working together in every step of the rug weaving process. 

The field celebrates highlights of olive, cerulean, sky blue, sand and taupe, with a thick border that repeats the same color palate.  The compilation of months of work and thousands of individually hand tied wool knots come together to create this incredible work of art. 

This rug has been professionally repaired and cleaned.

We recommend using a rug pad to secure your rug on the floor. Cut pads to 1" smaller on every side for best results.
