Vintage Hobnail Opalescent Dish
Vintage Hobnail Opalescent Dish
Beginning in 1938, the Fenton Art Glass Company in West Virginia, began making opalescent hobnail perfume bottles for Wrisley, a Chicago based cosmetic company. A few years later Fenton expanded into making this beautiful lidded jar that held Wrisley's lilac scented facial dusting powder. Fenton went on to become an iconic maker of hobnail milk and colored glass and explored a myriad of designs ranging from table wares to lamps to vases.
This beautiful, 1940's dish with its wooden lid is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
